SHALLAWAY YOUTH CHOIR is seeking members to join our Board of Directors who will bring dedication and vision into our organization. We require persons with previous board experience and a variety of qualifications such as:

  • Financial expertise

  • Fundraising

  • Donor relations

  • Diversity and Inclusion 

We welcome candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. SHALLAWAY YOUTH CHOIR is strongly committed to equity and diversity within its community. We encourage applications from all candidates including Indigenous, Black and Peoples of Colour, people with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community. 

NOMINATION PROCESS

The SHALLAWAY YOUTH CHOIR Nominating Committee oversees the nomination process for the Board of Directors.  The process begins with the Nominating Committee issuing a Call for Expression of Interest to serve on the Board of Directors.  The Nominating Committee considers submissions from members (although expressions of interest do not guarantee nomination), and then utilizes the characteristics, competencies, skills and special considerations outlined to develop a slate of directors for approval by the membership at the Annual General Meeting.
